Canoe Map (Good For Kayakers Too!) |
| This
unique, 23 1⁄2 inch wide by 17 1⁄4 inch
tall map comes on brown paper (more water-resistant)
or on easy-to-read heavy white paper. The map lists
22 public access launch sites and rest stops from Woburn
Street in Wilmington to the center of the town in Ipswich,
and then on out to the estuary where the river meets
the sea. The distances between the 22 sites are listed
in miles. All of the outstanding river features, as
well as a wonderful history of the river, are described
in detail on the back of the map. This handy guide will
educate and entertain you as you paddle.

Fish! A Guide to the Fishes of the Ipswich River |
| IRWA’s
excellent 52-page soft-cover spiral-bound booklet opens
with a brief history and a map of the river. The booklet
includes beautifully detailed ink drawings and engravings
of the fish that inhabit the river, with descriptions
and habitat information. There is additional information
on fish that were documented historically, but not seen
in the 1998 and 1999 sampling by the Massachusetts Division
of Fish & Wildlife. This unique booklet is a must
for those who fish, as well as nature lovers of all
ages.
