IRWA
depends on dedicated volunteers for many of our core programs,
and for research and office support. Please consider contributing
your time to our cause by volunteering in the field or office,
helping with community outreach, or serving as an intern.
Field
volunteers are needed for:
Project
ideas for research internships at the graduate or advanced
undergraduate level are available here.
Office volunteers are needed for:
- Organizing volunteers
- General office support: phone, filing
- Data entry
- Help with selected events and maillings

Community outreach volunteers:
- Help us spread the word by staffing an IRWA information table at fairs, farmers' markets, and other community events
- Community membership liaison: Help IRWA build its membership base by sending us 10 names and addresses of people in your community who you think would be likely supporters of IRWA's work
High school volunteers:
- Support spring herring count and assist with data entry
and analysis
- Help with other ongoing projects like our photo tour of the watershed, recreation guide, etc.
