SUMMARY:Opening to the Divine in Nature: A Guided Meditation Hike
DESCRIPTION:\nWhen: Saturday, November 14 | 9–11 AMWhere: Riverbend, Ipswich River Watershed Association Headquarters\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSlow down, tune in, and open yourself to the wisdom of the natural world on this special blend of hiking, gentle movement, and meditation along the Ipswich River.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe’ll begin at Riverbend’s Outdoor Classroom with light yoga movement to awaken the body, a simple breathing practice, and a few quiet minutes of meditation as we listen to the sounds of the trees around us. Then we’ll head out along the trails, stopping at favorite spots by the river for guided, nature-inspired meditations and grounding practices.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYoga and meditation are ancient practices that invite us to turn inward, become more present, and deepen our connection with the world around us. Together, we’ll explore these practices in the natural world, bringing greater awareness to the land beneath our feet, the water flowing around us, and our place within the living landscape. We’ll make space to experience the wonder of nature and open ourselves to the sense of connection, presence, and possibility it can offer.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur guide for the morning is Carla Villa, Ipswich River Watershed Association’s Engagement Manager and a yoga and meditation teacher. Drawing on her experience teaching these practices, Carla will offer simple, accessible ways to settle into the body, quiet the mind, and experience the natural world with fresh awareness.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhether you’re an experienced meditator or yogi, or simply curious about exploring mindfulness in nature, you’re welcome. No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to slow down, be present, and see what the natural world has to offer.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCome ready to move gently, breathe deeply, and experience nature in a new way.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is a partnership between the Ipswich River Watershed Association (IRWA) and the North Shore Spirituality in Nature Group ( https://www.nssing.org/ ) (NS SING).\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFree and open to the community. No yoga or meditation experience is required. We strive to provide a welcoming and affirming environment for people of all genders.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Now:\n\n\n\nFill out my LGL Form! ( https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/VGMz0ERCytU-vdikqLIaUQ )\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration closed? Email us ( mailto:cvilla@ipswichriver.org ) to get on the waitlist. \n
