You are needed to Lobby for the River!

Calling all River Advocates! We need you! Please sign up for one or both of these unprecedented opportunities to advocate for the Ipswich River in front of our state Senators and Representatives. Our legislative delegation is now arguably the most influential in the Commonwealth; let’s take advantage of these opportunities to advocate for lasting change for our river and show them how much we appreciate their hard work on behalf of clean, plentiful water.  At these events, we’re hoping to:

  • Strengthen relationships with our elected officials
  • Build support for, educate, and increase awareness of the important issues facing the river
  • Generate positive press coverage for the river
  • Show our legislature how many of us care for the river

Massachusetts Rivers Alliance Lobby Day 2019
March 28, 1 to 4 PM at the State House in Boston

Please join fellow river advocates from around the state at the second Lobby Day for Rivers at the Massachusetts State House to meet with your legislator to advocate for the Ipswich River at the beginning of the new legislative session. This event is an opportunity to educate our state legislators about top water issues facing the river, push for important legislation and water-related budget priorities, and most importantly, show that there is a strong constituency that cares about rivers. Just show up and you will be trained on what to do and what to say. In 2017, Ipswich River tied for the most attendees from any watershed – let’s break our record this time! It will take place on Thursday, March 28th in Room 428 in the State House at 1 pm.

Registration is required. Register for the Lobby Day here.
