What a Team!

We had a terrific showing of members, partners, state and municipal officials and our state legislative delegation at our first Legislative Breakfast held Friday, March 22 at the Ferncroft County Club in Middleton. Over 120 of you attended and we were able to successfully show our delegation how important the river is to all of us. Following brief remarks on increasing the resiliency of the river in light of climate change and our legislative priorities, legislators took questions from the audience including from more than 30 high school student partners working on the river’s issues as part of their studies this year. Special shout out to the City of Peabody who sent the most staff of any town and the Middleton Stream Team who outnumbered any partner organization! Most of all, thank you to our delegation of Senator’s Bruce Tarr and Joan Lovely and Representative’s Brad Hill and Ted Speliotis who took time out of their busy days to join us. For those of you who want to help us keep momentum on our advocacy priorities, please be sure to sign up to be a River Advocate for alerts when there are opportunities to take action by emailing [email protected]. For more information, see the Salem News article here and thank you again for demonstrating our commitment to the River we love!
