We’re Seeking a New Science & Restoration Program Director

Ipswich River has recently said farewell to our Science and Restoration Director Brian Kelder. Brian had been at Ipswich River for seven years, leading critical initiatives such as our dam removal projects and the recently completed Great Marsh Barriers Assessment. He has also been the driving force behind our Parker-Ipswich-Essex Rivers Restoration Partnership. While we will miss him here at Riverbend, we look forward to continuing to work with him as he brings his enthusiasm and skills to his new position as the statewide Stream Crossings Specialist at the MA Division of Ecological Restoration.

We are currently seeking our next Director for the Ipswich River Science & Restoration Program. The program includes a variety of activities designed to restore aquatic habitat in the Ipswich, Parker and Essex Rivers through flow restoration, water quality improvement, fisheries restoration and physical habitat improvement projects.
