Welcome Noah to Our Summer Intern Team

Hi there IRWA community, my name is Noah Robb, and I am thrilled to be a part of the team this summer! Growing up in Wenham, I have been around the river canoeing, fishing with my family, and have worked multiple years maintaining the Winthrop Estate where the river runs through. I am currently a student at Bowdoin College studying integrative biology, economics, and also a member of the men’s lacrosse team. I enjoy being out and around nature and credit the river for sparking an interest to eventually co-guide whitewater canoe trips.

Returning to protect the river is a great opportunity to give back while learning more about its different biological and hydrologic systems. Being out interacting with the environment, while analyzing data about the river’s health really fosters a deeper interest and relationship, especially when that environment is in your backyard!

Looking towards this summer, I hope to learn more about how much we are connected to the river’s well being and how much it is connected to ours. I hoped to become knowledgeable in recording basic river data while also locating government data sets to help provide specialized graphs and models to best advise for a sustainable future. Outside of the technical, I am excited to be able to spend more time on the river this year and meet more of its community. I hope to see you all on the trails and the river; feel free to poke your head into the office to say hello!

Sincerely,
Noah
