Do you have ideas about what the Town should do to address these current or future concerns about our changing climate and its impact on the community? A group of residents turned out in late March to join Ipswich Senior Planner Ethan Parsons, Open Space Program Manager Hannah Wilbur, and Ipswich River Watershed’s Planner Kristen Grubbs to discuss the town’s actions and strategies to address these high priority issues.
One contributor states: “Ipswich should consider requiring the use of pervious concrete on new sidewalks and parking lots as well as strategically placed swales and depressions (or rain gardens) at the foot of driveways and roads that shed substantial amounts of water.”
