Fish & Floods: Talking Culverts at Martins Brook

What: Martin’s Brook Walk and Talk 
Where: Access Drive just west of Shea Concrete, 773 Salem St., Wilmington (see photo below)
When: Saturday April 18th at 10 AM with a rain date of Saturday April 25th

Join the Headwaters Stream Team and Town of Wilmington staff as we explore Martins Brook and the site of a future stream crossing upgrade. You’ll hear about the history of this site, why this project is important, and how it impacts everything from flooding to fish and wildlife. This effort is funded in part by the Massachusetts Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Program.

    I developed a hydraulic model of the rt 62 culvert and the entire upstream watershed. I have quite a bit of information, including a presentation I gave at a public meeting. I would be happy to provide my PowerPoint presentation to you if you would like.
