LEAVE A LEGACY

LEAVE A LEGACY

Whether you are taking those first important steps toward planning your estate or preparing to update your plan, you can create your own ripple effect through your estate plan.

“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.”

-Norman MacLean

Bonnie Wiegand (left) and her husband Dudley lived in Topsfield for over 60 years. They enjoyed playing music together at their side-by-side organ and baby grand piano in their living room. A school teacher in Swampscott, Bonnie was a sweet, lovely woman who was concerned about animals, birds, nature, the river and the environment. As part of her estate planning, she wanted to leave a legacy for what she held dear and named Ipswich River Watershed Association as a beneficiary of her estate. We are honored to safeguard the Ipswich River, and the turtles, birds and wildlife it sustains, in her memory.

You too can leave a legacy for what you hold dear in your will and create your own ripple effect. It’s easy to include the river in your will. Please consider using the language below or contact Director of Development and Engagement Tracy Sopchak at 978-412-8200 or [email protected]
