Join us on June 17 for paddling, live music, food, drink and more.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN PADDLING & PARTY ADVENTURE

On June 17 you choose how you want to paddle! Sign up for one of our group paddles or paddle at your leisure from our dock. Enjoy food, drinks, and live music at our Riverbend Headquarters along the Ipswich River. We'll have children's activities and Ambassador Turtles from the Turtle Rescue League.

TALK TURTLES

10am : Turtle Talk Paddle

Nothing is more iconic on our river that painted turtles! That's why we've invited the Turtle Rescue League to lead a family-friendly paddle. We'll talk turtles and look for turtles sunning along our river.

PADDLE PARTY

12-4pm : Paddle & Party With Us

  • Enjoy food, drinks, and live music at our Riverbend Headquarters along the Ipswich River.
  • Children's activities with our Environmental Educator., Emma Hughen.
  • Dock open for you to paddle at your leisure.
  • Awards and Presentation at 3pm.


Learn about the River: 

  • 12:00pm Explore a Watershed Model
  • 1:00pm: Nature Scavenger Hunt
  • 1:30pm: Story Hour


Live Music: 

12-1pm: Gloucester Student Band

  • The band formed as a way for students in 5th - 12th grade with a variety of instruments and musical expertise to practice and perform while school was not in session.

1-3pm: 2:1

  • 2-1 is a trio of experienced musicians playing a wide variety of covers and originals in the ska/punk genre that are fun, fast, and upbeat, many feature socially conscious lyrics (about drought, nature, war, love, etc).
