Paddle with Wisdom of Howard Thurman

When: Tuesday, July 14th, 6:00 – 8:30 PM
Where: Riverbend, IRWA Headquarters, Ipswich

Join us for a contemplative paddle accompanied by wisdom readings of Howard Thurman. He was a leader and mentor to a generation of civil rights leaders including MLK Jr. and was dean of Marsh Chapel at Boston University. Thurman visualized a world of harmony and reciprocity drawing upon nature for inspiration. His words will join us as we paddle upstream to trestle and downstream to Ipswich Dam. Program guided by Stacey Keane Blagg, pastor at First Church Ipswich and a NS SING leader.

This paddle is a partnership between IRWA and the North Shore Spirituality in Nature Group (NS SING).

  • Mix of upstream and downstream paddling
  • Kayaks, canoes, life vests, and paddles provided by IRWA
