Winter Walk & Animal Tracking

The woods in winter are full of life! Bring your family to scout out signs of life around Riverbend headquarters on Saturday, February 24th, 10am-noon. Environmental Educator Emma will teach us four basic animal track patterns and lead a scavenger hunt for other interesting animal and plant signs around the property. Keep your eyes open for “chew clues,” scat, and tracks, if there’s snow!

We’ll spend about one hour outdoors, with a little time inside before and after our adventure to warm up. Wear layers and gear appropriate for the weather. We’ll follow the Riverbend trail loop, covering no more than a mile over slightly hilly terrain. This one’s most fun for kids ages 3+ and adults of any age!
