Climate Cafe: Perspectives on the Ipswich Mills Dam

On Saturday, April 6th, at 10am-11:30am, at Boone Hall at Ascension Memorial Church join students from area high schools as they lead a friendly discussion about the Ipswich Mills Dam removal project for local Ipswich residents.

A Climate Cafe is a conversation about a local environmental issue, and it’s an opportunity for high school students to have their voice heard by the adults in their community.

The Ipswich Mills Dam doesn’t just impact people who live in Ipswich. It impacts everyone who lives in the watershed, upstream and downstream. This student-led conversation will explore the perspectives of everyone who has a stake in the dam removal project. The goal of this Cafe is not to debate the facts of the proposed dam removal project, but rather to practice active listening and to imagine the possible futures of the Ipswich River.

Space is limited, so please register in advance. Come with a supportive attitude for the students who are using their voice to speak up for environmental issues they care about!
