Invasive Task Force Meet Up

Interested in invasive species? Want to take some anger or frustration out on ecologically harmful plants? Or just want to be part of a task force? Well, come join us for a morning to learn a little about our local invasive species, how to identify them in your own yard, and get the satisfaction of tearing up and cutting down a few of these unwanted visitors. And if you can’t make it to this one, don’t worry because this will be a recurring meetup. We’d love to see you here!

Wear long sleeves, long pants, boots or sturdy shoes and bring gloves.

Some tools are available, but please bring hand tools such as pruning loppers, pruning saw and hand clippers.

Insect repellent will be available, but bring your own brand if you have a specific preference.

Sign up below and let us know you’re attending. We plan on meeting 3/28, 4/11, 4/25, 5/9, 5/23. Have questions? Email us for more info.

  1. I will likely be able to join you on this date. Do we meet at Riverbend in Topsfield? I have just moved to Magnolia and haven’t located all my tools yet in the boxes. However, I have located my good set of loppers. I’ll see if I can locate a pair of gloves.

I have much experience removing invasive species from my former 2 acre property in Lynnfield. Was especially vigilant for oriental bittersweet, poison ivy, wild rose (forget the name) with white flowers, and buckthorn.

Glad to help out. Please confirm the meeting location.
