Kick off your Juneteenth weekend by getting to know the Ipswich River up close. Join us at Riverbend for a laid-back, drop-in morning on the dock where you can explore our brand-new fleet of boats, try out sit-on-top kayaks, check out our new life vests, and learn how everything works before you head out on the water.
This is a great opportunity for new members, current members who want a refresher, and member-curious folks who’ve been wondering how it all works. Come get your questions answered, build confidence on the dock, and see what paddling with IRWA is all about. Not a member yet? No problem—you can sign up right on site.
Whether you’re brand new or just need a quick reorientation, our team will be on hand all morning to walk you through the basics and get you feeling river-ready.
Come for a few minutes or stay the whole time—this is your chance to get comfortable, ask questions, and connect with the river community.

- 9:00 AM – Yoga for Paddling (no mat needed!)
- 10:30 AM – Guided Walk of the Riverbend Property
Recharge off with some snacks and drinks while you hang by the dock.
We’ve been paying attention to what’s happening nationally, and let’s just say—access to nature matters. So we’re opening the dock, sharing the boats, and making space for people to get on the water.
