Welcoming the Summer Solstice: A Forest Therapy Evening
Tuesday, June 16th, 6:00–8:30 p.m.
Moraine Farm, 779 Cabot Street, Beverly
This evening hike will be a Forest Therapy experience of guided contemplative presence though forest and lakeside. The motto of Forest Therapy (sometimes known as ‘Forest Bathing’) is ‘the forest is the therapist’. We will alternate periods of quiet, attentive walking with opportunities for gentle sharing. Come with openness to silence, delight and surprise!
The Walk 2.5 miles of gently rolling terrain through mature forest and along the shoreline of Wenham Lake, following trails designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. This hike is intentionally meditative — relaxed pace, with short readings and moments of silent reflection.
